Generally speaking cats placed through the Kansas Humane Societys working cat program are independent cats who prefer to limit their interactions with humans.

The Capital Area Humane Society takes in hundreds of cats from the Greater Lansing area each year. Asheville Humane Society has cats who would love to be put to work. The shelter is bringing in healthy independent cats that are in need of good indooroutdoor barn homes but often are not truly suited to the life of a lap cat.
Tested for FIV and FeLV. Submit an adoption application to the Cedar Valley Humane Society and indicate that you are looking for a barn cat. Got a rodent problem in your barn horse stable warehouse garage or garden shed.
De-clawed cats are not eligible for Barn Buddies or Warehouse Cats. These cats are most often found living outdoors in tight-knit groups called colonies sharing a common food source and territory. Some of them can be handled but we have others who would prefer to do their job stay warm in your barn or warehouse and love you from a distance.
Cost is donation only recommended donation is at least 20 covers a large portion of spayneuter. Barn Cats and Back Yard Buddies are un-socialized cats that we would not feel comfortable placing in a home environment. Animal Allies Humane Society seeks adopters with a warm barn shed or other outdoor housing to give feral cats a chance at life.
